Realme 3 Pro vs Redmi Note 7 Pro. Celebrating its first anniversary, Realme Mobiles revealed their top-of-the-line Realme 3 Pro that is going to compete with Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro in India.

The company has managed to take the fight to mid-range champions with just a short span of one year. Realme 3, which was launched last month, has sold more than 600,000 units and has gathered a positive response.

On the other side, we have Xiaomi’s treasure in the mid-range market, the Redmi Note 7 Pro which is the best phone one can get under Rs 15,000 in India. So, Which one does better Realme 3 Pro or Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro? Lets find out in specifications based comparison of both the phones.

Realme 3 Pro vs Redmi Note 7 Pro Price and availability

Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro are priced at the identical mark- Rs 13,999 with 4GB RAM and Rs 16,999 with 6GB RAM.

While Redmi Note 7 Pro is selling like flap cake both online and offline, Realme 3 Pro is set to go on its first sale on April 29 on Flipkart and Realme India Store.

While these two smartphones come in the same price range, both have different approaches when it comes to design.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has glass at both front and the back, and Xiaomi has used Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection. This helps give Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 a premium look and feel. Xiaomi provide the Redmi Note 7 Pro in three colour options (red, blue and black), two of which have gradient finishes on the back, while the third is just plain black.

The Realme 3 Pro on the other hand has a shiny plastic back. Realme also offers the Realme 3 Pro in three colour options (grey, blue and purple hues), two with a gradient finish while the third is a plain Carbon Grey.

Waterdrop notches

Both the smartphones have wide displays and have waterdrop notches. The Realme 3 Pro has thinner bezels when compared to the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Both phones have plastic frames, but the power and volume buttons on the Realme 3 Pro are significantly much easier to reach than those on the Redmi Note 7 Pro.

Xiaomi provides a USB Type-C port on the Redmi Note 7 Pro as well as an IR emitter, which could be useful in controlling several appliances. It also supports Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 4.0 standard, and with a 10W charger in the box.

The Realme 3 Pro offers a Micro-USB port for charging, Realme does support VOOC fast charging though, and you’ll get a 20W charger in the box with this phone.

At the back, both smartphones wears dual camera modules, but the one on the Redmi Note 7 Pro juts out more than the one on the Realme 3 Pro.

Both have fingerprint sensors at the back, which are easy to reach. The SIM slots on both of these phones are on their left sides, but only the Realme 3 Pro has a dedicated MicroSD card slot whereas the Redmi Note 7 Pro has a hybrid SIM slot.

The Realme 3 Pro has an octa-core CPU Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 and Adreno 616 as its graphics processor.

The Snapdragon 710 is normally found on phones priced upwards of Rs 20,000 but the Realme 3 Pro brings it down to the mid-range segment.

On the other hand, Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 675 chipset with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 612 as its graphics processor.

Both the phones comes in two variants- 4GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB of RAM with 128GB on-board storage.

Connectivity options on the Redmi Note 7 Pro incorporate Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual 4G with VoLTE, and IR. The Realme 3 Pro has support for Bluetooth 5, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, dual 4G with VoLTE, and FM Radio.

Speaking about software, the Redmi Note 7 Pro runs MIUI 10 on Android Pie, and the Realme 3 Pro runs Color OS 6 on top of Android Pie.

Both smartphones are up-to-date with security, The Redmi Note 7 Pro runs the February 2019 Android security the 3 Pro already received the March 2019 patch. Both Smartphone UIs are highly customized and doesn’t look or feel very much like stock Android.

Realme 3 Pro vs Redmi Note 7 Pro performance and battery life

Realme 3 Pro comes with 4,045mAh battery which supports fast charging via VOOC 3.0 charging solution. The VOOC 3.0 20W adapter is provided with the-box and can charge the battery upto 50% in around 30 minutes.

The Note 7 Pro has a 4,000mAh battery and supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 4 but the fast charging isn’t provided in-the-box and has to be purchased as a separate accessory.

Redmi Note 7 Pro vs Realme 3 Pro cameras

The Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro both posess of some really good camera specifications. Realme 3 Pro has a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 camera with an f/1.7 aperture. It has a secondary 5-megapixel depth sensor which is useful when taking portrait shots.

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 48-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.79 aperture down with a 5-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 13-megapixel selfie shooter while Realme 3 Pro sports a 25-megapixel selfie shooter.

Both Realme 3 Pro and Redmi Note 7 Pro have AI features in their camera apps, which help choose optimal settings before taking a shot.
